What won’t we clear in Leeds?
We unfortunately can’t deal with most hazardous waste, which is the likes of medical or chemical waste like paints or acids. We don’t have the required licence and disposal methods to deal with these items.
We can however remove asbestos, but this is a completely different service through a different team, which you can find out about here.
Leeds Waste Removal Cost
We know that what you care about most is simply, how much does it cost to get my waste removed from my property? We get it, and we’ll tell you! But, before we jump right in, there are a few things that we want to make you aware of before providing estimates.
Firstly, these are exactly that, just estimates. There are two major factors that we need to consider when providing you with a more accurate quote which will impact these estimates heavily. The other impacting factor is, well, Leeds, labour rates vary in different parts of the country so that also has an impact.
With that being said, the two main factors are:
Waste Volume
The amount of waste has a significant impact on the cost, as it not only affects the time it takes to clear the rubbish, but also the amount of staff we need to send & the vehicle that we have to use to dispose of the waste.
Waste Type
The type of waste, particularly heavy items, can impact the cost significantly. The larger items will increase the cost, such as a fridge freezer as again this may require more staff to attend the job.
Typically speaking our waste removal service is quoted per job, meaning we don’t tend to base it on how many hours it takes as there are several other factors that can affect cost. That being said, you are typically looking at a charge of £50 per hour for our basic waste removal service in Leeds.
To give you a very rough idea, we’ve highlighted some example costs of removals and what you can get cleared for around that price range. We want to stress again that these are estimates and will vary significantly depending on the above factors.

Clearance & Removal Availability In Leeds
Our team in Leeds are always relatively busy, particularly on weekends and evenings, but we always do our best to be as flexible as possible for our customers and ensure that you are able to get booked in within a reasonable time.
We have several solutions for your waste removal job and can often utilise our network of contractors to help arrange collection in your area, and we’ll often be able to offer same day removals – but please do provide us with as much notice as possible to ensure that you aren’t left disappointed.
We do aim to provide online bookings in the future to show instant availability, but this isn’t currently available in our Leeds location.
Our Removal Process
We’re efficient in everything we do, from start to finish, so if you are interested in booking a rubbish clearance and removal service for your Leeds property, then you might be wondering how it all works.
It’s quick and easy, here are the few simple steps to a clean and cleared house!
1. Fill in Our Contact Form
The first step is filling in our contact form, we’ll then reach out to you directly and discuss the finer details about the removal job, including the amount, accessibility and your location – we’ll use all this information to give you a more accurate quote, and from there, hopefully you book in with us!
2. Steps Before The Day
Depending on the call itself, we will make it clear what needs to be done prior to our arrival – this can be as simple as ensuring we have easy access to the waste, but from time to time we might ask you to assist in the sorting of the waste just to ensure we are able to dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
3. Our Team Arrives
We’ll arrive at the Leeds address you’ve provided and the team will conduct a short pre-assessment of the waste, just to ensure everything matches the quotation we’ve provided. Once we are happy to go ahead, we’ll start the clearance process and that’s about it!
4. Disposing of the Waste
This is more a step from our side, and doesn’t involve any input from your end, but from your property we will then be visiting the nearest recycling centre and disposing of the waste. If required we can provide you with a waste note that details this procedure.

Insured, Licenced & Compliant
You can rest assured that when you choose the Waste Recycling Group (WRG) you will be presented with a professional and fully licensed service which is completely compliant as well as insured.
All of our team are trained and always have the environment in mind when conducting the removal.
Waste Carrier Licence
When you have enquired and we’ve allocated a specific contractor to your job, if requested we can provide you with their waste carrier licence. This number allows you to check that they are in fact registered and licenced to conduct the removal job, and you can input it on the Government Environmental Public Register yourself to find out more.
Waste Transfer Note
We alluded to this prior, but you can request a waste transfer note (WTN). This is essentially documentation that will tell you how and where we disposed of the waste, and serves for your peace of mind to ensure everything was done above board and there’s no risk of fly tipping.
Insured
We are fully insured and compliant which ensures both the safety of our workers and our property, although we of course don’t expect to cause any damage.
Environment First
The recycling rate of Leeds is relatively low when you compare it to the rest of the country, and we’re responsible for doing our part and trying to increase that percentage. We always try and have an effective plan to ensure that your waste is sorted in the most environmentally effective way possible.

What Happens On Clearance Day?
There are a few common questions that we haven’t covered, which we often get asked about our clearance service in general – we’ve highlighted and answered them for you below:
Will I need to be at the property?
As long as you tell us beforehand and we are able to arrange a way of accessing the waste, then we can often accommodate this rather common request. Please speak to us about this to arrange the finer details.
How long will you be clearing the waste?
Well, that’s a pretty tough question to answer without knowing the job at hand – it really depends on the size of job and access to the waste itself, but we would expect a couple of refuge sacks and maybe some medium sized items to take about an hour, but larger appliances for instance may take us a few more hours, say 2-4.
A full house clearance of an average sized home with a standard amount of waste would take a day.
Do I need to put the waste outside or in a certain location?
No, not necessarily – although this may depend on whether you are in the property and our ability to access it, of course. We may as you to help by sorting some of the waste prior, this will help us raise that Leeds recycling rate we keep banging on about!
Why Choose Us?
Down to the brass tax, why would you choose us when you have so many options?
