Our service includes anything from a full property clearance which includes large appliances and general household items, to partial clearances, or delicate item handling. Avoid the time consuming, physically draining, stress inducing process of clearing your home and let us handle it for you at a competitive price, whilst being environmentally responsible.
What Does a House Clearance Include?
Our house clearance process is pretty straight forward, we’ve worked hard to make it as streamlined as possible and provide a positive customer experience, leaving the home clean and tidy.
We’ll visit the property initially to assess the scope of the task and provide an accurate quote. This will be followed by us carefully planning the process to ensure everything is efficient, smooth and safe. We will then visit your property with our removal team, which will vary in size depending upon the scale of the job, and we will remove all the unwanted items.
After we have collected the waste, we will then dispose of the items responsibly in an environmentally friendly way, recycling whenever possible. Our service also includes ensuring that your home is left clean and tidy afterwards we take pride in providing a fully comprehensive service.
The Types of Items We Can Remove
We’re pretty comprehensive and thorough at WRG! In house clearances we can remove a lot of different items which includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Furniture: Couches, Beds, Tables, Chairs, Drawers
- Appliances: Washing machines, fridge freezers, ovens, microwaves
- Electronics: Gaming consoles, TVs, computers, laptops, heaters
- Kitchenware: Utensils, dishes, pots, pans
- Textiles: Clothes, curtains, bedding, rugs, mats
- General items: Books, toys, decorations, photo frames
We are also able to remove larger, uncommon items like pianos, garden furniture, sheds, hot tubs, pool tables and anything of that nature.
What Is The Average Cost of a House Clearance?
It’s really hard to pinpoint an average without knowing any details about your job, the average cost of a house clearance can vary fairly significantly dependant on a factors such as the size of the property, the amount of items that need to be removed, where your property is located and any special requests that you may have.
Taking all that into account, you can expect the average range of cost for a house clearance to be from about £175 for very small jobs to £600 larger clearances, although it can sometimes exceed that when you require the removal of particular items – like pianos or pool tables that we mentioned prior.
You can rest assured that when you choose The Waste Removal Group we will offer competitive rates, just obtain quotes from multiple providers and compare, we’re that certain!
How Long Do House Clearances Take?
As you may find a regular theme of this page, that’s a really hard question to answer without knowing the scale of the job. The smallest of jobs with just clearing a few items may only take 30 minutes to an hour, but the majority of jobs that we undertake are full house clearances which take anywhere between 1-2 working days, at around 7 hours a day with a team of two people.
This is all dependent on the size of the job and the items that need to be collected, if there are large items the service will naturally take longer.
We’re Licenced House Clearance Specialists
In order to clear a house of waste as it’s considered a commercial service we are required to have a Waste Carriers Licence, which we do. There are sometimes extra licence requirements dependant upon the location, as each local council has slightly different requirements, but we can assure you that we are fully licenced to undertake any job.
All of our staff are fully trained specialists and we always ensure the job is completed safely, and most importantly, legally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a question about our house clearance service? We’ve collected some of our most common ones for you and answered them below, however if you do have a question please feel free to fill in our form and we can have a detailed chat about it.
What types of house waste will you remove?
We will remove almost anything! Any typical household items from clothes to large pianos or pool tables, we’ve got you covered – just let us know what type of items we can expect to see beforehand.
How soon can you clear my house?
We always try to work to the dates and times that you require, but if we are particularly busy then times can take longer. It’s a hard question to answer without knowing the full details and the schedule at the time of enquiry, but we have completed jobs on the same day before!
Should I hire a skip instead of using a house clearance service?
That’s completely up to you, but if you do then we highly recommend our skip hire service, of course! That being said, it depends on your capacity to remove all the items, it can often be stressful, time consuming and you need to be careful not to cause injury but with that being said it will be cheaper to hire a skip if you are willing to do that.
Do you remove good condition items for free?
We don’t offer this unfortunately, we would highly recommend that you either sell the items personally before the clearance or donate them to charity, if possible.
