Household Waste Recycling Centres
Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) are making an important contribution to meeting challenging EU recycling and landfill diversion targets. They are an important tool in boosting recycling rates, particularly of large items or bulky materials; as well as materials that are now generally collected at the kerbside.
Members of the public bring their bulky household waste and other recyclables to these facilities for segregation and disposal.
"Today the emphasis is on providing facilities that are clean, well organised, with clear signage, good temporary parking, helpful attendants, and increasingly, that are sheltered from the elements."

Compost
We operate compost plants throughout the UK, and compost over 100,000
tonnes every year.
The compost produced finds a variety of end users; restoration of our own landfill sites, some is returned to our local authority partners, and, increasingly it is used for the manufacture of top quality soils and bagged compost for the retail sector.
